Heath Robinson Power System

I have wound up with a three battery banks system. All very weird and a result of "fix on the fly".

12 volt packs:

2 x 100Ah Voltgo

1 x 280 Ah EVE

2 x 7.2 Ah Powertech

24 volt pack:

300 Ah Winston

These are set up as a cascade ...

Other systems :

Honda 2200 gen set.

1300 watt solar panels

Epever MPPT 40 A

240 volt :

3-15V/30V 3-100A Voltage Current Adjustable

24 V Charger - HTRC P20 (no Manual)

Inverters :

24 V 1500 watt Epever

12 V 1000 watt Jaycar

Misc.

1 x 280 Ah EVE cell - maybe use for a USB UPS ?

They are set up as an ad hoc cascade. Yes it's horrible..

1300 watt solar panels > Epever MPPT 40 A > OR Honda 2200 gen set 3-15V/30V 3-100A Voltage Current Adjustable > 300 Ah Winston >24 V 1500 watt Epever > 240V in house systems (A)  > 24 V Charger> 280 Ah EVE  > 12 V 1000 watt Jaycar > 240V in house systems (B) and 30V 3-100A Voltage Current Adjustable >  200Ah Voltgo  > 12V in house systems > 2 x 7.2 Ah Powertech > 12 volt UPS

 Monitoring :

TR16  Coulomb Counter Meter  : The battery and shunt are upstream of the common earth.

The capacities have been set and the entire system is 100 percent charged.  It will be raining for a few days and I have the gen - set.

Rated storage is just shy of 13kWh. It will be interesting to find out the actual capacity.

THE NETWORK IS COMPLETE and it shit itself

Trust in the Lord but Tether your Camel.

I used Deep Seek AI to set up the system and it stopped working. I cant remember what the issue was. I don't know if I should work out how to implement the system myself or try another AI methodology.  I had it to the point where SSH was working but there was no navigable GUI network installed.

I am tempted to give AI another try because it saves so much fiddling around but the damn things are so skittish - perhaps much more austere prompting? It is so easy for the damn thing to get the idea it is a social event because of the fucked "platform" layer .  Also if I do learn how to do it It shouldn't need attention and I will forget how I set it up.

📐 Architecture Summary

  • Ethernet LAN: 192.168.100.x (permanent static IPs, no DHCP)
  • Wi-Fi: 10.203.220.x (internet only, via phone hotspot)
  • No router dependency: All machines have self-assigned static IPs
  • Switch: Acts as a dumb junction box — traffic passes directly
  • Future growth: ESP32s, cameras, sensors with fixed IPs

Status: ✅ All three machines connected and communicating over Ethernet. Network is stable, permanent, and survives reboots.
